Why we built it
The register was a
notebook.
Walk into an independent shop and you will find the same three things: a drawer, a calculator, and a notebook full of names and numbers. The notebook is the credit ledger — who owes what — and it is the most important document in the business. It is also the one most likely to be lost, argued over, or quietly wrong.
Meanwhile the shopkeeper keeps two kinds of receipt — a quick informal one and an official taxed one — because that is how business is actually done, and most generic software has never had a word for it.
NexusTill is what happens when you build the POS around those facts instead of apologising for them. Customer credit is a first-class ledger. The quick receipt and the tax invoice are both first-class. And when the internet goes — as it does — the till keeps taking money.
It is not a generic checkout with the local bits bolted on. It is built for how real shops trade, and it shows.

every decision.
Software should meet the shop where it is.
Most POS software is built for a tidy Western checkout. It has no idea what customer credit is, why a shopkeeper needs two kinds of receipt, or what happens when the power goes. We started from the counter, not from the code.
The cashier is the real user.
Not the owner, not the accountant — the person ringing up a sale with a queue behind them. If they cannot learn it in a day, it does not matter how clever the rest is.
It has to work on a bad day.
The internet drops. The laptop dies. The power cuts. A till that only works when everything is fine is not a till. Sales queue offline and sync when they can; your data lives in the cloud, not on the machine.
Say the true thing.
We would rather tell you two of our plans have the same features than invent a difference to fill a column. That habit shows up in the product too.
